Care –
How do I care for my solid gold and sterling silver jewelry?
To keep your jewelry looking its best, follow these care tips:
Solid Gold:
- Solid gold is durable and tarnish-resistant, making it ideal for everyday wear.
- To maintain its shine, gently clean your gold jewelry with warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface.
- Store gold pieces in a soft pouch or separate compartment to prevent scratches from other jewelry.
Sterling Silver:
- Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time, but regular wear can help slow this process.
- To clean tarnished silver, use a jewelry polishing cloth or a mixture of warm water, mild soap, and a soft toothbrush.
- Avoid exposing silver to harsh chemicals (e.g., chlorine, perfumes, and household cleaners) as they can accelerate tarnishing.
- Store silver jewelry in an airtight bag or anti-tarnish pouch to reduce exposure to air and humidity.
With proper care, your solid gold and sterling silver jewelry will remain timeless treasures for years to come!
Gold plated or rhodium plated jewelry care –
Gold plated and rhodium plated jewelry consist of a thin layer of gold or rhodium over brass metal that will tarnish over time with regular use and improper care. Personal pH levels and frequent contact with water, sweat, etc will expedite that. This material is good quality and cost effective, so we highly recommend taking care of your gold and rhodium plated jewelry by taking your jewelry off when bathing, swimming, working out, sleeping, etc. Avoid having your jewelry in steamy rooms as well i.e. bathroom counter, etc. when not wearing.
Polymer clay jewelry care –
Polymer clay jewelry is durable & lightweight. Though water resistant, they are not waterproof. We highly recommend taking care of your polymer clay jewelry by taking your jewelry off when bathing, swimming, working out, sleeping, etc. Avoid having your jewelry in steamy rooms as well i.e. bathroom counter, etc. when not wearing. Store in a cool dry place and avoid bending or dropping.
*Water damage is not fixable or refundable*
