The LS Custom Process

Custom designs begin at $1,500, with final pricing based on design complexity, gemstones, and materials. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to begin the design process and is applied toward your final balance. Timelines vary by design. Once your design is approved and gemstones are sourced, production and finishing typically take 4–6 weeks. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted, and always worth the wait!

Inquiry & Vision

Begin by filling out the custom inquiry form and sharing a little about what you have in mind. Inspiration photos, sketches, and references are always encouraged. Whether you have a clear vision or just a starting point, we'll figure out the details together.

Let me know if you're looking to reset an existing heirloom gemstone or if you'd like me to source something special for your design.

I'll personally review your inquiry and follow up via email. If your project is a good fit, we'll continue the conversation over email or schedule a call to explore your ideas, preferences, and budget in more detail.

Sourcing & Sketching

This is where your vision begins to take shape.

Drawing inspiration from our conversations, I'll develop initial sketches and design recommendations that reflect your ideas while considering the details that make a piece both beautiful and wearable.

We'll review the concepts together and refine the design until we land on something you love. This is our opportunity to explore proportions, settings, and those little details that make your piece uniquely yours.

If your design calls for a new gemstone, I'll thoughtfully source options for you to consider, keeping you as involved in the selection process as you'd like.

A design deposit is required before the sketching process begins.

Designing & Testing

With your sketch approved, it's time to turn our concept into something tangible.

For CAD-designed pieces, I'll create a detailed 3D model based on your approved design and specifications. You'll receive digital renderings that allow you to visualize your piece from multiple angles before we move into production.

For an additional fee, I can also create a physical resin prototype, complete with a simulated gemstone, so you can try on the design and get a feel for its proportions and fit.

For hand-carved designs, I'll work directly in wax, allowing the piece to take on a more organic, sculptural character inspired by our approved sketches.

Crafting & Finishing

Once your design is approved, it's time to make it official.

Working with my trusted production partners in New York City and Beacon, NY, I'll oversee the casting, stone setting, and finishing of your piece in your chosen precious metal.

From the quality of the craftsmanship to the smallest finishing details, every step is approached with care to ensure your piece is made to be cherished for years to come.

Final payment is due before shipping or pickup.
